Hi Dear,

In RO Users settings, I can't understand:

• what messages are sent to the user in case they never logged in
• in what sequence these messages are sent

Very thanks

Hello,
Now I don't now if I can install the patch without this happen again. Maybe I have to set "Auto delete no visit" -> No, Install the plugin, then restore "Auto delete visto" to -> Yes

You should first install the patch then run the cron. If that is followed you don't need to change Auto delete no visit setting. Please try the steps

1. Clean your system
2. Install the patch file
3. Run the cron.

Let me know on how that goes.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Anyway: this happened again. And it’s a mess. We’re loosing user at an outstanding rate.

I followed exactly what you tell to do. :/

Hello,

Are you referring to this?
No, I mean that the plugin sent email to ALL the user because at the same time I installed it, it has considered ALL the user as "Never Logged In".

That sounds really odd because that would only happen if all users have no date in the lastvisitDate.

To get back to your original question about users who go into the queue that have no lastvisitDate. The only change we have in the package we sent to you is that we check more empty dates. There is nothing else different from what you had.

So get things clear:

  1. Are you saying that all your users are always considered as "Never Logged In"?
  2. Do you still see users who are inserted by the other extension showing up in the queue?
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
As of now we have no clear idea on the issue and on what scenarios users are considered as "Never Logged In". We would like to test this with your user data. Please create a test site for us and turn off all email options so we can do our testing without users getting emails.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
You can see Site Details updates in this reply https://rolandd.com/support/ro-users/when-email-for-never-logged-in-are-sent#reply-65786

We need a test site where we can do our extensive testing and users wouldn't receive emails with our testing. The details sent in the reply seems to be a live site, is it ok we do our testing on the site? Also i see there is no RO Users component in the site details you sent us. May i ask if you had uninstalled the component?

(I don't understand why you're using this thread instead the once where the specific problem is described). :)

This entire thread is the discussion for specific problem. Each reply will be posted as a discussion in the thread and not as a reply for one specific post :)
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
Thank you for the test site details.

1. For some reasons I am not able to connect to the database of test site. Can you please also share database login details of the test site?
2. I have installed RO Users component on test site. Please do the settings on RO Users Config page and as you had on your live site. That will help us to reproduce the issue you had on live site.
3. I would need SSH access to test site so to connect and run the cron from command line.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
