Hello
In the next version (or maybe it is possible now), I want to know if I can import images from a folder, as well as a table, to fill the articles joomla?
And on the other hand to rename on the fly the name of the image (at least the 1st image) with the alias of the article?
regards

Hello,
I just realised something, if you are looking at putting the image as part of Joomla article content and import it, You can use RO CSVI Combine rule plugin to combine the image path with Joomla content(full_text field) and import it.

If that is not the case, send us few screenshots on the field and how it is used so it helps us in understanding what you are trying to achieve.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
You did not mention which RO CSVI version you are using.

In the next version (or maybe it is possible now), I want to know if I can import images from a folder, as well as a table, to fill the articles joomla?

With CSVI 7.10.0 version we added support for importing images from a folder by giving the folder path. But i don't understand what you mean by table. Can you give an example?

And on the other hand to rename on the fly the name of the image (at least the 1st image) with the alias of the article?

Support for renaming of images on import is not added yet.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi
I haven't re-subscribed since version 7. I was waiting for version 8 (which is now out), some needs, see a discount for Christmas ;-)

1/ add image
I was thinking about the libreoffice calc table; how do you map the image to the article, any documentation?

2/ a plan for the coming months or year?
Happy end of the year

Hello,

We give discounts to our customers who renew their extension before it expires but your subscription expired almost a year ago, that is really too long ago. We worked a long time to get version 8 ready.

As for your questions:

  1. If you mean images for Joomla articles, that is explained in the document I want to import articles with images
  2. We have lots of plans, first is to finish Phoca Cart support, there is workflow support for Joomla 4, we need to test VirtueMart on Joomla 4 when it is ready, and in the really further future we are looking at a stand-alone RO CSVI. Of course there are a lot of smaller requests coming in all the time that we consider for inclusion.

Happy holidays.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi

Yes, I knew I was over the limit but I still believe in Father Christmas ;-)

1/ I read the article but I can't see the parameters and my English is not good. Is it possible to import the image into the content of the article (not a com_content field)? AND from a directory (not a url)?

2/ ok I understand, I hope you can add this functionality of the image with the alias of the url

Regards

If it is not a com_content field then how is it related to the article? Is it a Joomla custom field? If yes, Joomla content import document explains on importing custom fields in Additional information section. You can give the directory path of the image instead of url.

2/ ok I understand, I hope you can add this functionality of the image with the alias of the url

You are the first and only user asking for this feature. If we get more requests we can think of including it in future.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

HI
ah the difficulties of understanding each other and I wasn't sure about the integration of the image
No, I wasn't talking about using custom fields but I didn't want to put it in an image field.
It's like a manual edit of the article
"imported image"
my text ....

Hello,
Unless the field you are trying to import is in database table and is a part of Joomla content table, it is not possible to import with RO CSVI Joomla content import. If it is a field in custom database table then you can try using RO CSVI Custom table import. But you need to take care of linking of article with the imported image.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Yes I think it's more in that direction :-)
I note your proposal, but for the moment I am thinking about migrating a joomla 3 + Ro CSVI site for my association, but without a budget.
I am waiting to have a prospect who needs this next year.
In any case thank you for your answers
