To start, I read that:
https://rolandd.com/support/ro-csvi/j2store-import-variants-with-stock-quantity
https://rolandd.com/documentation/ro-csvi/j2store/j2store-product-import
https://rolandd.com/support/ro-csvi/is-it-possible-to-auto-activate-variable-j2store-products (mine)

I Tried to update quantity in my Variant products. To do that, I dont use variant but j2store Product with fields:

1 category_path
2 product_type
3 taxprofile_name
4 title
5 sku
6 quantity

(overwrite existing data: YES)

All my items exist in DB (i make them all with RO CSVI) and I want to update quantity only but I can't because I have this error: Skipped because "Product Alias already exists" : it is normal because products already are in DB.

I don't understand how to update only 1 field (quantity) of existing products (variant product, field quantity - import template: j2store product)

Thank you very much and merry christmas :)

Hello,
The patch file to support quantity field in J2Store Variant import is ready and is attached here. You need to

1. Load the attached patch file
2. Update available fields
3. Run import using J2Store Variant import template to update quantity of variants.

Note that with J2Store variant import you need to specify the parent product the variant belongs to. You need to use parent_product_title or parent_product_alias or parent_product_id field in your import file so RO CSVI can identify the parent product.

Test the patch and let me know.

Hello,

The reason you see the message Product Alias already exists is because RO CSVI cannot find your existing product and the option to create a product for existing articles is set to no.

RO CSVI cannot find your product because you have told RO CSVI to find your products based on the quantity field. That is not going to work unfortunately. By default, the sku field is used to find a product as this is the unique identifier for a product. You have the SKU field in your import file, so let's use that.

You can edit your import template and go to the Options tab and set the option Update based on to sku. Run the import and see how it goes.

Hi,

I tried it with "updated based on : sku" but quantities are not updated.

Hello,
J2Store does not have a quantity field for variable parent product but quantity field is only on variants. So to update quantity you should be using J2Store variant import and not J2Store product import. I see that there is no quantity available field in J2Store variant import. I am adding the field and updating the variant import. I will send you the patch file for testing once it is ready.

Tharuna
