Hi,

I am now looking to import a file that is in a cell of the table. I have not seen any help on this case.

a / I want to rename the name of the file with the alias of the title of the joomla article. Is it possible ?
can i do a separate procedure or so in the rule linked to the file?

b / I would like to put only the name of the file (the path would be the same as the table, but can we consider putting it in a different path?)
Regards

Hello,
I am now looking to import a file that is in a cell of the table. I have not seen any help on this case.

Can you post an example of what you mean as table? May be send us a sample of your import file to check.

a / I want to rename the name of the file with the alias of the title of the joomla article. Is it possible ?
can i do a separate procedure or so in the rule linked to the file?

Is the file a column in your import file?

b / I would like to put only the name of the file (the path would be the same as the table, but can we consider putting it in a different path?)

Please share an example on how the file is stored and where it is stored. Please post screenshots so it help me to understand this.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

HI,
Thank you for your prompt response
The file is stored in an ACF custom field (https://www.tassos.gr/joomla-extensions/advanced-custom-fields).

As the members are not computer specialists I expect a file which is not standardized.
It would be necessary to replace it
before: "l'àprès demain, sera BEAU.pdf"
after "alias-titre-article.pdf

I send the table where the file is located.
Regards

Hello,
There is no direct way to do this but if you have only few records and you know the text to be found and replaced you can use RO CSVI Multi replace rule to Find and Replace the filename. Please note you need to set the Find and Replace text, RO CSVI cannot read the title field from import file and replace it.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,
I'm sorry but I don't understand. Can you tell me what can and cannot be done
1 / import of the file into custom fields ACF
2 / renaming by one means or another (rename the file after import? In another rule?)

Hello,
I'm sorry but I don't understand. Can you tell me what can and cannot be done

Both of these cannot be done.

1 / import of the file into custom fields ACF

RO CSVI does not support 3rd party extension for Joomla custom fields. As of now it only supports only a few of core Joomla custom fields and not all .

2 / renaming by one means or another (rename the file after import? In another rule?)

As explained above RO CSVI cannot read the title field and apply it on the filename. If you know the text to be replaced you can use RO CSVI Multi replace rule to find and replace. One other way is to write your own custom rule for reading the title and replacing the filename.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

For now we are working on adding support for Joomla core custom fields. In future if we get more requests on ACF custom fields we will consider adding support to it.

2/ you have ideas (even with other product) to rename a file name according to the alias of the joomla article I will be interested

Sorry I am not sure about any other products with this feature. I have given possible solutions with RO CSVI which you can try.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

I join the request to support ACF (Advanced Custom Fields Tassos.gr). The add-on is already very popular and I think it would be useful to work with RO CSV.

Hello,
Support for ACF in RO CSVI has been already added. Please check the documents Advanced Custom Fields for RO CSVI Import and Advanced Custom Fields for RO CSVI Export to run import and export in RO CSVI.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
