Resolved Export (J3) and import(J4) the custom field VALUES belonging to content articles?

Hi! We want to migrate some articles from J3 to J4. The articles in J3 have 4 custom fields: 2 URL fields and 2 mediajce fields.

I am unsure about how to get the content of the custom fields in the new J4 website.

I have exported an imported the custom fields Groups and Fields so they are present on the new site.

Do I need to add the 4 custom fields (as template fields) to the article export on J3? And how do I import those custom fileds (values) with the articles on J4? Or do I need to export the custom fields data seprately from the articles export?

Yes, you need to add the custom fields as template fields in Joomla content export.

And how do I import those custom fileds (values) with the articles on J4?

In Joomla4 installation
1. Add the same custom fields
2. Run update of available fields in RO CSVI
3. You can import the exported file directly in Joomla 4 site after that.

Or do I need to export the custom fields data seprately from the articles export?

No you can export custom fields with articles data.
