This document explains how to configure payment provider Ginger Payments for EMS.
Prerequisites
To configure Ginger Payments the following details are required:
- API URL
- API Key
The way Ginger Payments work is a bit different from any other Payment Service Provider because they are not a Payment Service Provider but they provide the infrastructure for a payment provider. By default RO Payments only offers EMS as option out-of-the-box. However if you have a Payment Service Provider that also uses Ginger Payments, you can enter the API URL for your provider.
API URL
The API URL is preset for EMS, however you can choose to enter a custom API URL for a backend that supports Ginger Payments.
API Key
The API Key is used to connect with your EMS account
- Click on Settings in the left side menu
- Click on API Keys
- EMS provides 2 standard API keys, you need to use the API key for https://emspay.eu
- Copy the API key for the website https://emspay.eu
- Paste the API key in the API key field
Description
A description is required to be able to make a payment. The description will help customers identify their payment.
Order Numbers
The Order Number field contains the order number of the payment but this can be changed to use the Order ID.
