Hi!

I know you do not support other components than mentioned here.
However: I managed to create an import template for a map component easily, using the address data from my import file.
Only one thing is left: all imported items should get a asset_id with corresponding connection to the asset table.
I wonder if it's possible to copy tasks that import to com_content and modify them to fit the new component. It's the same logic, isn't it?

Thanks!
Chris

Hello Chris,
Would I need to modify the code (in the php files of RO CSVI) or just copy a task and modify it in the backend?

You need to modify the code in PHP files. Modifying in backend will not work. It is like you are creating a new custom RO CSVI addon for gmapfp extension.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

This is using custom table import or you have the custom addon created already?

Logic is same but you need to modify the code to support fields of map component and its tables.
Kind regards,

I used simple custom table import. The component is gmapfp and it has only one table to fill ("places" in #__gmapfp ) and also uses standard categories from Joomla tables.
Logic is same but you need to modify the code to support fields of map component and its tables.

Would I need to modify the code (in the php files of RO CSVI) or just copy a task and modify it in the backend?

Thank you!

Well, I can't do this with my limited knowledge. Thanks for the clarification.

Hello Chris,
What files do I have to look at?

You should be looking into the files under folder plugins/csviaddon/content/com_content.

Would you du custom work to get that done?

Yes, we do custom work. You can send an email to Roland at support@rolandd.com with Job details and he will look into it.
Kind regards,

I' need to check one more thing before I make a decision regarding this issue. Unfortunately I depend on an other developer who did not write back until now. I'll let you know anyway. Might take a couple of days.
