Hi I have a problem that has just occurred that I cannot seem to resolve.
I have been using CSVI for some time, to import data into Virtuemart without any problem.
I had a development site sit up for a client and the product import works fine on it.
I did a backup of the site and copied it to the "live" site, in preparation for going live.

But now the product import fails immediately with a error that says just that - Error without details (see attached)

It is the same version of Joomla and Virtuemart as the development site.
It is the same physical server with the same PHP version and settings (PHP 7.4)
I have updated CSVI to the latest version (8.3.1) but the error remains.

I have tried checking database fields, clearing tasks, checking joomla tables, folder permissions.

There are no errors in the web server logs. and CSVI records no errors.(log attached)
Any idea please.

Thanks

Hello,

SO is it in the template ?
No, template does not store URLs. What is happening is that RO CSVI is asking Joomla for the URL and Joomla returns http://www.nsoffice.au Do you happen to have the $live_site variable set in your configuration.php?
Kind regards,

Template and Import file are also the same?

There is no details on the error in the screenshot so it is difficult to find the cause and fix for it. Try to turn on error reporting from System -> Global Configuration from Server tab and run the import. Set error reporting to Maximum and see if you get details on the error. If not send me the template XML file and import file to check. To get the template XML file, in RO CSVI maintenance menu select RO CSVI on first option, backup templates on second option, select the import template and download the XML file. Post the XML file.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Sorry for delay in replying.
I have spent some time comparing the development site (where the import works)
and the "live" site (where it does not)
The live site was a complete backup of the dev site, so tables and templates are the same.
Attached are the templates from both sites. They look the same.
Also the testplu file I am using. It imports without error in the dev site - Fails in the live site.

I tried turning joomla error reporting on. There is no change to the error I sent before. No more detail

I thought it may have something to do with Virtuemart and reloaded that.
Also manually dropped the categories and product tables and imported them from the dev site.
No change

Very odd - any bright ideas?

Hello,

Could you please check the Using Developer Tools to analyze problems document and see if you can find some additional info when running the import instead of just the popup with the word error.

I checked the debug log but yes, no info there either because the import does not even start. Do you get a preview or not either?
Kind regards,

RolandD

More---
If I understand this correctly - there is some remnant of the development site addressing somewhere
and when it tries to upload to the "live" site it is using the old information.

Hello,

You can check the global options by going to Components -> RO CVSI and in the top right corner click on Options. This is where you can set your domain name, I think that is where this is coming from. You can change the domain name, save the changes and try your import again.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi
No I already checked options. It is the correct domain
I also checked all the Joomla domain settings as well.
I cannot find any mention of the alias anywhere, yet it IS saved somewhere
CSVI now works until I click on RUN then it fails looking for the wrong domain.
SO is it in the template ?
