Hi Team ,

When I tried to update " Update available fields " on RO- CSVi component Joomla 4, getting following error.

Same thing happened when I import any template to custom table.

Hello Stefanato,

So I have checked the site and found the reason why the update of available fields does not work. This happens because Joomla cannot write to the log file that RO CSVI tells it to write.

Further I found some folders from a very old RO CSVI installation in your site. Seems like this site was once running CSVI Pro is some ancient time :D

What I want to suggest is to completely remove RO CSVI by first making a backup of your templates and then uninstall RO CSVI as explained in the Uninstall RO CSVI document. This way we are sure there are no old things interfering.

Let's see if things are better after that and if not I can take another look.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,
The 500 error doesn't tell us details on what has gone wrong. Please see the document 500 Internal server error and follow what is in there. Post the real details of the error and once we know the details we can look for solving it.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Stefanato,

If you enable the Debug System option in Joomla Global Configuration, do you see more information? Please also check the document Tharuna has provided.
Kind regards,

Hello Stefanato,
Maximum execution error shows up when the server is unable to finish the process in the given 60 seconds time limit. In you server look for php.ini file and try increasing max_execution_time variable and check the update of available fields. This is a server setting and we can do nothing about it.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi,
sorry but for me the situation is not clear.
Server is a standard shared server. I have loaded the project also in our dedicated cloud server and the problem is the same.
The max_execution_time is been increased to 180 : https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/1658/4239775487.png
This this the other PHP standard configurations: https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/1658/2774547765.png

Moreover there is no errors about Joomla in server log apart the CSVI component : https://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/1658/5375359456.png

What do you suggest ? Do you need Plesk/Joomla access ? The website is finesso.it
If there is anything to pay to solve this it's not a problem but the import process must work.
With joomla 3 on this server all worked fine.

Le me know.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Stefanato,

No need to pay for support, you have done that. There is also no need to increase the maximum execution time. What I find intriguing is that you get a timeout in this process. Do you get these timeout errors in more pages other than updating the available fields? The log you posted you seem to get a timeout as well when you want to edit a template. Is that correct?

Your screenshot shows the error but not the stack trace, that would be interesting to see as well. If you can recreate the error and click on the stack trace tab and post that output, that would be appreciated.

In the meantime, I am thinking you can go to the About page in RO CSVI and click on Verify Database and see if things improve after that.

Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Stefanato,

That is what I requested indeed. One thing we found out the other day with one customer is that this out of memory occurred almost instantly because the #__menu table was corrupted. The #__menu table is missing the root element. Can you check if that is missing?

You are looking for the menu entry with ID 1 and a title of Menu_Item_Root and the alias is root. Does that entry exist in the #__menu table?

In case the entry does not exist, you will need to add it. Please check another website that you have as to how it should look.

If the entry exists, please post Joomla and (S)FTP access to your site so we can investigate why you get the out of memory error.
Kind regards,

RolandD
