Hi,

we are trying to import products and we come across one issue related to custom fields.we have created a custom fields using Color Swatch Plugin for Virtuemart and when we trying to import custom fields, we are not able to see custom fields after completion of import process into product and no error during import process.

so please any one come across this kind of issue before if yes than please help us to fix this issue. some more reference please find out from the attached snapshot.

Hello,
I see a problem in your import file. Since SymbolColor DEP and BG Color DEP are customfieldsforall fields you should set custom_value for these field as customfieldsforall. Like now in your import file custom_value field is ~~coruja. This should be set to customfieldsforall~customfieldsforall~coruja. Do this change and check the import. If you still have any issue, post import debug log to check. To get the debug log read through How to collect debug information? document.

Thanks for clarifying the issue about customfieldforall so i followed your message and i would try to import single product now i can see all the custom field options but i noticed one issue like i am not able to see options value as selected(checked).

so we have BG COLOR DEP and symbolcolor DEP with couple options (ede7c4,d65c26,bd8028,0e522b....), now i am trying to import few of that like (ede7c4~d65c26~bd8028) so according to that following options are required to be checked(selected) as auto into product.

please see attached XLSX and other snapshot for reference.so please check and let me know your response.

Hello,

There is a misunderstanding on how the system works. Fields you add to a template in RO CSVI are not of any particular type, fields are indexed by their name. Now most fields will be indexed as standalone fields e.g. product_sku and others will only work using a generic name like custom_title.

Be aware after you created the custom fields in VirtueMart you still need to tell RO CSVI that they exist. You can do that by going to Available Fields and click the Update button. RO CSVI will then index all fields in your system that it can process.

Now the dependentcustomfieldsforall only works using the custom_title and custom_value as minimal fields. Now to get an idea of how the data needs to go into the system using an import, it is best to first do an export with the fields so you can see where what values are. If you do not have any data in the system I would advice to create 1 manually so you can export it.

You can create a VirtueMart Product export template with the fields product_sku, product_name, custom_title, custom_value, custom_param and custom_price. This should give you a good idea of how the import file should look like.

Do check the document Tharuna linked where we have example CSV files posted and how to setup these fields.

Thanks but i can't see any custom field type plugin when we try to add new field? can you please tell me what i need to select during add new field for import product template?

If you are asking on how to create fields for import of dependentcustomfieldsforall, Please check the document linked in my previous reply. Document explains steps with examples on how to import dependentcustomfieldsforall fields. If you have any more questions let me know.

Hello,
The attached import XLSX file in your initial post is for dependentcustomfieldsforall? If yes then custom_value field does not have right values. Please check Dependent custom fields for all document for examples.

If you still have any issue, post the latest import debug log along with import file used. To get the debug log see How to collect debug information? document.

RO CSVI does not support Color Swatch Plugin and so you are not seeing any custom fields after import.
