Hi,
PROBLEM 1
Cannot get RO CSVI Field Copy to work.
1. I created a new rule. RO CSVI Field Copy called "createalias".
2. Set Source as title
3. Target as alias
4. Added a new field in Template fields and called it alias
5. Added the the rule "createalias" to the field.
6. No value is available on preview or import.
PROBLEM 2
1. Set a field called article_layout
2. Set the default input as team
3. Team displays on previous but imported articles layout are not set to team.
PROBLEM 3
I have an article custom field list. TEXT | VALUE
In the import file I have the TEXT part. This also does not import.
PROBLEM 4
If I have to update articles on a regular basis whats the best way of dealing with the article id's?
PROBLEM 5
Articles on import are unpublished and have no Access/Author/Language/Date Created set

Hello,
You should apply the rule on the source field from where the value has to be copied. So in your case it should be applied on title field. Check RO CSVI Field copy plugin document for examples.
article_layout is one of the article attribs field. Do you have this value Team already added to the dropdown(See screenshot)?
You should have the alias of TEXT as a column header in your import file and value of each record should go under this column.
Instead of ids we recommend to use the needed fields for Joomla content import. You can see these basic fields in Joomla content import document. RO CSVI looks for a matching record in database using these needed fields. If record is found it updates the existing record else a new record is inserted.
Author and Date created will be added only if the article is a new article on import. For existing article modified date and modified author id will be updated. You need to use state field with value set to 1 to publish the article in import file. Same goes for language and access fields, you need to set the needed values in import file. RO CSVI will not know what values to add to these fields unless set in import file.
