Resolved Importing data in to custom user fields

I have a custom user field, a dropdown list with id = 7. I see in the database that following is recorded for in

fields_values:

field_id item_id value

where:

field_id is the id of the field
item_id is the user id where the value belongs to
value is the value for the dropdown for that user

If I make a CSV file with all my users and the corresponding value for the three columns, how can I use the component to import all the values for my suers for that field.

Step by step please as I am new to this component.

Hello Jordan,
Please check Joomla User import document and under Further reading section on how to import custom fields for users.

To import List custom field value check Joomla custom fields import document. The example in the document explains on importing list custom field for Joomla articles but the format for list custom field is the same for Joomla users.
