Resolved Import with simple quote generate html entity...

Can you post your import debug log and sample of import file to check? To get the debug log check How to collect debug information? document.

The debug log show : No debug log available
and the file is very "simple", i use the import example for product with a csv file like this :

So nothing "exotic" here
Check for example the product name like the one i put in bold here.
You can see also that I have changed the separator symbol for the import (to avoid issue with comma in description for example)

The document linked in my previous reply helps you to enable debug log for your import. Please enable the log and post the debug log.

So i ran import with the example you posted and don't see the ?#39; html code. Check the attached screenshot. Which version of VirtueMart are you running?

Sure, it shows the quote in your results, as mine, but in the database, it is encoded in the table with ?#39;

I had to manually correct all the product name : open each one, save.

This is shown in example with children products in a dropdown : all the html entities are not decoded...

The values in my database seems fine and so i asked which VirtueMart version you are using.

Can you share a screenshot of this?

Please post your site administrator login details and (S) FTP details to check. Let me take a look at your site and see what is going on. You can post the details in Site tab under your reply.

I use VirtueMart 3.6.10 10211

And unbelievable... i do it again to verify, i get the ?#39; in my list.
To show you, i start again to show you in video... and tried 3 times to show you.... THE QUOTES WAS CORRECT !!!!

I cant understand... maybe an evil devil playing with me (it was showing the code in the first test before recording the video !!!)... Why is this working well when i want to show you ?
Mistery for me... If this is happening again, i will then show you a page.

I complete this with the video i made : you will see another issue i see here.
In my import file, i have the short desc product, the name in my file is "resume" (résumé in french means short desc).
Now, even if i have this "resume" in the csv file, it does not import the content...

Check the video, you'll see (start à 5'30'') for the short description import..

(so mad to not be able to show you, as if this happened before and i don't know why, for me, my issue remains...).

Thanks so much to give me this answers : i know it is so "obvious" for you but more less for me as i discover the component (i know the very old one when virtuemart 1 was running but this new one is far more developped !).

Yes the component is more developed and we do not expect our users to get all the features with one import We do understand the difficulties in using the component for new users.
