Resolved Import product child, atributtes, parent from VM1

Not saying it cannot be done but it would require manual changing of the data. The way VirtueMart 1 and VirtueMart 3 handles attributes is very very different. Nothing CSVI can do about that. At least you can export the data but then you will need to modify it as needed for VirtueMart 3.

The fields custom_title, custom_value and custom_param are VirtueMart 2/3 only. In VirtueMart 1 these used to be the attribute fields but they are not exchangeable. In VirtueMart 3 these fields are used by the Custom Fields feature.

In VirtueMart 1.1.9 I can't find some of this fields in Eport products templates. I explain which fields I can find that maybe are the same with name changed in VM 3.

custom_title (In VM 1.1.9 not exist) -> custom (exist)
custom_value (In VM 1.1.9 not exist) -> custom_ attribute (exist)
custom_param (In VM 1.1.9 not exist) -> I can't find any field that can be the same

Hello,

Since you know how to manually create derivate products in VirtueMart, export the fields product_sku, product_parent_sku, custom_title, custom_value and custom_param for this 1 product. Let's see how that looks like. You should be doing the same for the other products then.

I install after the plugin CSVI PRO Virtumart. It see that all it's ok but the component interface in not the same, it appears rare.

The interface has changed between CSVI 5 and CSVI 6.

At the moment I prefer wait a CSVI 6 Pro stable version because with the CSVI 5 Pro I'm fine.

That is OK, CSVI 6 stable won't be much of a difference to CSVI 6 RC1.

I repeat the proces step by step following the tutorial and I install the csvi 6. I install after the plugin CSVI PRO Virtumart. It see that all it's ok but the component interface in not the same, it appears rare. Then I try uninstall all but I can't unistall the pluguin CSVI PRO Virtuemart. Then I try to install again the csvi 5 pro stable but I can't. I remove all csvi tables from PHPMyadmin and finally I can install again the csvi 5 pro stable. At the moment I prefer wait a CSVI 6 Pro stable version because with the CSVI 5 Pro I'm fine. I would like to use the CSVI 6 only in order to do that the derivate products are inside the principal products. I think this is only possible with the CSVI 6.

Now I have imported ok the principal products and the derivate products. But I can't see the derivate products. I would like that the derivate products are only accesible from the principal product with a drop down list. I know how to do it if I create the derivate products from the principal product, but I don't know how I can do it if the derivate products exist. Is possible to do it? Or I must to do it manually, creating the derivate products from each principal product?

I adjoint a images in order you can understand better the solution that I wish.

Hello,

Not sure what has happened with your installation but I recommend doing a clean installation of CSVI. See the Uninstall CSVI tutorial on how to remove CSVI completely. It is important to remove all the tables from the database before doing a new installation.

Hello,

This error happens if you have the incorrect table in the database. Please uninstall CSVI 6 and remove the prefix_csvi_settings table and then install CSVI 6 again, see how it goes.

Now, parent products and child products are imported as a independents products

You need to set the product_parent_sku for the child products to make them related. Did you do that?

Just the layout of your old site is customized, so if you want the same layout, you will need to modify your site template.

Finally I can import prices :-) I adjoint a example of csv file that I used now. It runs ok. Maybe the problem before was that I used a lot of fields, I'm not sure...

Now, they are only one think different thnat the original web in Joomla 1.5.26 with Virtuemart 1.1.9. In the original web they are a parent product and into it they are the clild products. For example, the parent prodyct and child product are the same name, only change the measures. Now, parent products and child products are imported as a independents products, the parent product is showing without price and the child products of it (the same product with different measures) I adjoint two images. ¿Is possible solve it or the difference is because now I use a responsive template and the old template was not responsive?

Not csvi 5 pro and not csvi 6.

Are you running Joomla 3.4.1? That is required for CSVI 6. If you have 3.4.1, what error do you get on installation? Make sure you install the component before the addon.

For all products I see this:

Child product and empty price, not adding so it will take the price of the parent product

That means your column configuration is incorrect (assuming this since there is no CSV file). Make sure the columns in your template match the columns in your CSV file.

I try again but not runs. Price products are not updated. I adjoint log
NOTE: I try to install the csvi6 and not runs. (Before I remove the database csvi and unisntall the version 5 Pro) Then I can't install any csvi. Not csvi 5 pro and not csvi 6. I restore the web backup and now I can work again.
I will try again to import prices with different csv files, but if you are somme idea that can be the error I will be thankfulled for your help

Well your columns are in the wrong order, check the fieldnames in your template and the fieldnames you have in your CSV file, they do not match. First in your template is product_parent_sku, first in your CSV file is product_sku. The same goes for all other fields. So, fix that first and then try again.

I can't find the component or extension beta6

click extension click VirtueMart addon

Now I have'nt any CSVI extension because after try to isntall 6beta4 the CSVI 5 Pro desapears in my Joomla

You can't install CSVI 6 on top of CSVI 5. Most likely you have a broken installation now. You can check the Uninstall CSVI page. To clean things up.

The debug log only shows me the message it can't find the product SKU, without the CSV file I find it hard to understand what is going on.

In Downloads section I can't find the component or extension beta6, I find only a plugins but not the component.
I can't to send you a last debug log because I not donlowed it. But I addjoint a debug log zip of one previous importation of this morning. Maybe with it can see something wrong.
