Hi,
I accidentally tested the import of excel and ods files from libreoffice because the csv file is a problem for non-IT members.
I saw with joy that the import of xlsx file worked well, but not the same file saved in the ods format of libreoffice.

2 / Often members copy / paste text. The <br> is missing <br> How to automatically replace a line break in the text into a <br>?

I also think that the error message comes from the patch code, because before the patch it did not work well but there was not this error message!

Yes, You're right. The error is because of the patch file. When installing the patch on a fresh RO CSVI installation i was able to reproduce the error. Please load the modified patch file attached and then run the import again.

Yes, with RO CSVI 7.13.0 version we added the support for import of XLSX files. Import of ods files is already supported in RO CSVI.

It is possible to import a .ods file using RO CSVI. But the file you sent is with .txt extension and not .ods. You need to make your file as a valid .ods file. Also make sure that your file is UTF8 encoded when you save it with libreoffice.

You can create a Multi replace rule and using Find and Replace operation you can find the linebreaks \r\n and replace it with <br>. You can then apply this rule on the field you need to replace the line breaks.

Can you tell us what is not working with your ods file? Can you post your import template XML so i can test the import with your file? To get your template XML file, in CSVI maintenance menu select CSVI Pro on first option, backup templates on second option, select your template and download the XML file. Post the XML file.

For replacing line breaks, you can use Multi replace plugin as explained in my previous reply. In the Multi replace plugin, create a rule for import, select Operation as Find and Replace, in the Filter part, in Find field set expression to be /\r\n/, Replace field should be <br>, Method to be Regular expression, Other fields can be left with default values and Save the rule. Apply this rule on the field you want to replace line breaks. Try the import.

At the preview I see no problem, but on import the fields are shifted

We did not allow ods files for upload. Our bad :( This has now been fixed and ODS files can also be uploaded.

This is not correct. Import preview was also broken. The fields were shifted in preview too.

Thank you for sending the requested files. When running import with your template and import file i was able to see the issue and fixed it with the attached patch file. Please load the attached patch file and run the import again. Let us know on how it goes.

Hi,
I downloaded the patch which was 0 bytes (despite several attempts).
It worked when I opened the file and then saved it.
When the patch (14 ko) has been correctly installed
* I succeeded in making a correct preview of the ods file.
* I have an error message when importing the ods file (and no article is created):
An error has occured during the import. Below the information received from the server.
Status error: 500

Explanation: This error means that something has gone wrong but the server does not want to tell you what exactly happened. The only way to find out is to ask your hosting provider for the error message in the error log. For further information you can check the 500 Internal Server Error document on our site. Without the real error we will not be able to help you.

Status message: error

The 500 error will not give us any details on what has gone wrong with the import. As explained in the error message, did you contact your hosting provider for the error in error log? Without the real message it is difficult to help on what has gone wrong. Get us information on the error from error log and post it here so we can check and help.

Despite my request (and reminder), the host cannot (or does not want to) respond to me.

In your Multi replace rule, Instead of /\r\n/ set Find as /\n/ and make sure that Method is set to Regular expression. Save the rule. Run your import and check.
