Hi there, I hope someone can help me. Recently my Joomla and VM software was updated. Current versions are: Joomla 3.9.11, VM 3.6.0 10113. And at the beginning of this month I purchased the latest version of CSVI. However, since the Joolma and VM updates, the previous and old version of CSVI (probably about 4-5 years old) no longer worked. So that's why I bought the latest version.

Problem is now that I am able to preview the import, but as soon as I actually click on 'START IMPORT' I get an error message and have no idea how to fix it. Am quite desperate as am currently having to add products to the site manually, one by one :(

I hope someone has a clue. Attached the error message.

Thank you in advance.
Kind regards, Carmen

Many thanks for your help. It appeared that the component itself had to be updated, not just the plugin. I know zero about this all, so thought there was only a plugin but downloading the actual component earlier today seems to have done the trick. Many thanks for your help in any case. Much appreciated :)

Hello Carmen,
We need to find what is causing this 500 error for you. To do that take a look at 500 internal server error document and check the Known causes explained in the document. If your case does not fall in any of those conditions and if you still have the error, check your server error logs. You will find the exact error in there. Post the error so we can help you.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for the reply, but we have already looked through this document. I do not know what this first part means:

Folder and or files do not have the correct priviliges
Solution: Set the correct priviliges for the folders and files
Folders should have permission 755
Files should have permission 644

Where do I enter this information please?

Hello,
This is to check all the needed folders and files have correct permissions. You can go to RO CSVI About page and check if the status of folders in there are all Writable. If not fix the permission of those folders.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks, one folder was not writable so fixed that, but still I cannot see anything about where to enter these permissions.
Also, on attached screenshot a bunch of messages about database not up to date. The database version 6.6.0, that is not referring to the latest CSVI version is it?
Because I have version 7.1.3 installed, but where can I see that 7.1.3 is installed?

Hello,

You cannot enter file permission using RO CSVI. To do that you either need to use FTP or File manager in your control panel or a software you use to access your site files.

Also, on attached screenshot a bunch of messages about database not up to date. The database version 6.6.0, that is not referring to the latest CSVI version is it?

Yes, your database is not up to date. To fix that in the same RO CSVI About page, click on Verify database button. See if it fixes your database issues and also 500 error.

Because I have version 7.1.3 installed, but where can I see that 7.1.3 is installed?

There is no version 7.1.3 for RO CSVI. I guess you are referring to 7.13.0 version. You can see the installed RO CSVI Version from Joomla Extension manager >> Manage >> Search filter box enter CSVI. Also the version of installed RO CSVI is visible in all RO CSVI pages as in the attached screenshot.

Hello,

You do not need to change the file and folder permissions if you have used the Fix folder button in RO CSVI. This will do that for you.

Hello,

You are welcome. You should see updates for both the component and the extension. At least for next time, you know you need to update both :)
Kind regards,

RolandD
