Hello,

RO CSVI RO CSVI 8.17.0 , J!4.

I have a problem importing categories into Virtuemart.

Existing category:
Cyklo | Cyklodoplnky | Blatníky

In the XML feed, I have the category tree path
Cyklo | Cyklodoplnky | Blatníky

and after importing, it created a new category with the same name in the Cyklodoplnky subcategory, so now there are two identical subcategories named Blatníky in Cyklodoplnky.

There are many such cases where it duplicates the category and does not import it into the existing one.

for example here: https://www.spaezplus.sk/obchod/cyklodoplnky

Where could the problem be, please?

Existing category:
Cyklo | Cyklodoplnky | Blatníky

In the XML feed, I have the category tree path
Cyklodoplnky | Blatníky

You should have same path as existing category Cyklo | Cyklodoplnky | Blatníky in import file as well. That should solve your issue. To fix this, you can use RO CSVI Multireplace rule and Add before value operation and add Cyklo | before category_path field. Try and let me know.

If still problem exists post import debug log to check. To get the debug log, read How to collect debug information? document.

Of course, we add Cyklo to categories as a rule. Duplicities are constantly being created.

Hello Andrej,
As per debug log it cannot find existing category with name Blatníky and so a new category is created. Please post import template XML file and import file to check. I will run the import here and check. To get the template XML file from RO CSVI templates list page select the import template and click on Backup templates button. Post the downloaded XML file.

Thank you for posting the files. I ran import with your template and import file but see existing category updated. Can I test this on your site? Post the login details on Site Details tab under your reply and I will take a look.

Hello Andrej,
Thank you for the site details. I think I see why there are duplicates. See attached screenshot. The one of Blatníky category has space after it but the other does not. Since they don't match new categories are created. You can see that in the attached screenshot. Can you check that?
