Hi,
Here is the operation I have to perform:
from a csv file (attached), I would like to create Joomla articles that have a title (title field) and the other fields of the file in custom Joomla fields.
I bought your component and try to understand the documentation, but I can't seem to create that.
Can you tell me the right steps?
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Frédéric

Hello,

The problem with your file is that the fields are in French. RO CSVI doesn't speak French ;) The field named TITRE should be renamed to title. The other fields are your custom fields I assume.

Another way is not to change your file but to edit your template and set the option Use file for configuration to No and add the template fields to your template in the same order the fields are in your import file.

Perhaps it is best first to make it work with your file as it is now.

Let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello Frédéric,
First thing i noticed in your file is that you do not have all the needed field that RO CSVI needs to do the import. You have title field but not category_path or catid field. You need to add this field in your import file.

I hope you checked our Joomla content import document which explains how to create import template, add template field and run the import. The document also explains about addition of Joomla custom fields in Further reading section. If you are having difficulty in creating template you can use RO CSVI example template for Joomla content. To do that go to RO CSVI Maintenance page, select RO CSVI in first option, Install example templates in second option and in the add on list select Joomla content and click Continue button. RO CSVI will install example import and export template. You can then edit these templates as per your need.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks for your help.
I added a category_path field with the category corresponding to the Joomla category of the articles I want to generate. Here is the corrected csv file.
I modified an example template to simply import the category and title of the article.
The import seems to have gone well, but no article has been created :(
Do you have any idea of my error?

Hello,
Can you also post the debug log of your import? To get the debug log check How to get debug information? document.
Kind regards,

Here are the documents :
the CSV file and the import log.
For now, only the category and the title of the article interest me.
The other fields in the csv file will be custom fields from Joomla, but we'll see later.
