Hi,
I'm checking forums and documentation but I can't find the solution. I wanted to ask and is it possible to set filters in the import/export of modules and menu.
In the case of menu, I can select which menu to export/import, ok, in the case of articles I can filter by category, ok, but in the case of modules I can't find a solution for filtering.
Thank you.
Javier

Hello Javier,
We did not have any filtering for Joomla modules export but with the attached patch file, we have added filter for exporting modules based on Module name. To get the feature

1. Load the attached patch file from RO CSVI Maintenance page.
2. In Joomla Modules export template settings on Options tab set the name of the module you want to filter on. Multiple modules can also be selected.
3. Save the template and run the export.

Let me know on how it goes.

Hello Javier,
but in the case of modules I can't find a solution for filtering.

The only filter available now is filtering by language in Joomla modules export. May i know what filters you are looking for in export?

As of import, there are no filters but users normally use RO CSVI rules to filter records to be imported. Please explain on what filters you want to apply on import.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna
I am developing a multisite website that allows me to export filtered modules.
Do you know of a way to do this? I send you a file with a small explanation that I have prepared :)

Hello Javier,
You can do that by using RO CSVI Skip rule. Follow the steps to export the needed modules

1. Create RO CSVI Skip rule for export. In the Values to match field enter the name of the modules which should not be included in export. Multiple names separated by comma(,). See attached screenshot.
2. Create Joomla modules export template.
3. In Joomla Modules export template add template field module and apply the skip rule on the field. See attached screenshot. You can add other template fields as needed.
4. Run the export and check.

For other sites follow the same steps but change the modules to be skipped in Values to match field in the Skip rule. Let me know if that helps.

Hi Tharuna, one question
instead of skip it is possible to select.
Export only modules selected, filtered by name , id, etc...

Thank you for your attention
