Hi, I'm using:

RO CSVI 9.6.0
in Joomla5.4.3
with Virtuemart 4.6.0
PHP 8.3.30

When I export a XLSX file and open it in Microsoft XL, it appears blank - no data on screen.
On closer examination, the columns start at "H" - which is the first empty column.

I can drag the columns to bring the earlier (populated) columns into view. I cannot scroll to bring them into view.

I have opened the exported XLSX file in a workmate's PC & get the same result.

This seems like a really odd problem & I cannot even begin to think what a solution might look like.

Any ideas how I could address this? How can I make an XLSX file so that the initial opening view shows A1 cell and doesn't begin at H1?

Hello Anthony,
My noob mistake was that I didnt realise that each field had its own settings which includes cell width. I didnt see the XLSX field settings link that appears when the XLSX format is set. Somehow the cell width was 0 - not sure if that was default or if I had set it that way in a prior confused stupor.

That is actually not your mistake but you have helped us find a bug :D . We have a field in CSVI database for column width and by default this field value was set to Null and that is creating this hidden column issue. I have fixed this code and the fix will be included in upcoming RO CSVI release.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thanks Tharuna,
Actually I've figured it out - I just made a noob mistake.

But to clarify:

So export data starts from H column and the columns before that are all empty?

No my problem was that the export data existed in the columns before H, but the spreadsheet opened with column H1 as the first cell, so the data was hidden unless the cells widths were manually altered.

My noob mistake was that I didnt realise that each field had its own settings which includes cell width. I didnt see the XLSX field settings link that appears when the XLSX format is set. Once I set the cell widths to reasonable amounts, the problem was solved :-)

Probably no need for further help with this issue.

Regards
Anthony

We have never heard of this issue before so need to find what is causing this. So export data starts from H column and the columns before that are all empty? Can you post the exported XLS file and template XML to check? To get the template XML file from RO CSVI templates list page select the export template and click on Backup templates button. Post the downloaded XML file. Also post export debug log. To get debug log see How to collect debug information? document.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
