Resolved Export Specific Article IDs

A customer is asking for the possibility to export a list specific id. The want to have a field where they write 123, 124, 125, 231, 2303, 933 and then they get their export. Is this possible?

Hello Elisa,
There is no field in Joomla content export template to include articles ID list. But you can use RO CSVI Skip rule plugin and ignore the article IDs which should not be included in export.

The site has 40.000 Articles in one Category... When I want 10 of them I would need to exclude 39.990 :-) Is it possible to include an option like that?

Hello Elisa,

Typing 39.990 article IDs is a bit much, I agree with that. However you can still use the skip rule that Tharuna mentioned but instead of writing which article IDs you do not want, you can also enter the article IDs you do want. That would mean only 10 numbers to put in :)

You would create a Skip rule as usual but set the method to match to Regular Expression and put in this expression:


/^(?!(?:2833|2826)$)\d+/
Notice how I have 2 numbers there, 2833 and 2826, you would replace these with the numbers you want and separate each number with a pipe-symbol. Those IDs will then be included in the export.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
