I'm working with alison and we're having a problem with a clients site. We've install ro csvi and the hikashop plugins and the j2commerce plugin. We're trying to migrate from hikashop to j2commerce. When we go to update fields we get an error. I'm totally lost on how to proceed from here.

Hi,

I'm totally lost on how to proceed from here.
I can imagine. That is not a very informative error message either.

Does this happen instantly or has the update been running a bit already?

If the update has been running a bit already, we can try the following:
My guess is that it has something to do with custom fields in HikaShop but before we go there could uninstall the RO CSVI - HikaShop plugin this is the plugin of RO CSVI and not HikaShop itself and update the available fields again. Does it complete?

This is just to see if it has anything to do with HikaShop or not. If that completes successfully we need to find out which custom field is causing the issue. You can then install the RO CSVI - Hikashop plugin again.

If it turns out to be a custom field of HikaShop, we need to see if we can identify which one.

In case this happens immediately, post the site, (S)FTP and database access details and we will see if we can find it for you.
Kind regards,

RolandD

It happens almost instantly.
I get the 4 square boxes for about 3 seconds and then the error with hikashop plugin uninstalled.
I'll have to take the site off of local and post it. I'll send you the details.

Hello,
I was able to see this error with J2Commerce RO CSVI addon and with update of available fields. I found the cause for the error and fixed it. Please load the attached patch file and run the update of available fields. See if that goes without any error.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Bear,

The patch provided by Tharuna has been removed, please use the attached patch file to apply. In case you already applied the patch file provided by Tharuna, here is the way to undo it:

  1. Go to the folder plugins/csviaddon/j2store/com_j2store/model/
  2. Remove the file maintenance.php
  3. Rename the other file to maintenance.php
  4. Apply the patch I have attached here
  5. Run the update of available fields and you should be good to go.
Let us know how it goes.
