I need to transfer a user from a Joomla 3 site to a Joomla 5 site. On the Joomla Extension Directory, it says that your extension, RO CSVI, is only Joomla 5/6 compatible. Is there another version that is available for Joomla 3?

Hi Diane,

Thank you for your interest in RO CSVI. The current supported version is indeed for Joomla 5/6 but we also offer older downloads for Joomla 3 as well. Actually our RO CSVI 8 version runs on Joomla 3/4/5. That can be used to transfer users from Joomla 3 to 5.

We have a document explaining how to migrate users from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 but this works the same way to migrate to Joomla 5. RO CSVI comes with built-in migration templates that you can use for the migration. These templates have the minimal required fields needed for that.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,

RolandD
