Hello
I need to switch a site to joomla 4 to add the custom fields sub form.
I will uninstall Ro CSVI.
Is that after in version 8 under joomla4, ro csvi recognize the content tables ro csvi? or will it import 1 by 1?
Do you have a more precise date on the release of v8?
Regards

Hello,
I have to remove the extension.
In some time with the site under joomla 4, installing version 8, I will find all my templates? setting how? I am under v7. 4
OR I have to make a backup of all the content / settings of RO CSVI?

Uninstalling RO CSVI does not remove the tables from database so your templates with settings stay in database. When you install the extension again, you should get back the templates and settings unless you remove RO CSVI tables manually.

But we recommend to take a backup of templates before you uninstall the extension.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Thank you for your quick response.
I will wait a few weeks (at least the RC) because I don't use RO CSVI every day.

Hello,

The version RO CSVI 8 beta 1 has been out for quite some weeks now, on Monday we will release RO CSVI beta 2 and we expect the stable to come out before December 1st.

So you can already run RO CSVI on Joomla 4, in case you are importing articles you do need a patch to make the articles show up. Let us know if you plan to do so and we happily provide you with the patch.

Other than that, RO CSVI on Joomla 4 works the same way as on Joomla 3.
Kind regards,

RolandD
