Resolved View not found [name, type, prefix]: article, html, jdidealgatewayView

Hi Roland,
I hope you are fine.

When launching a payment (for example on https://www.maple-paper.com/shop on J4) I get the following error:

View not found [name, type, prefix]: article, html, jdidealgatewayView


On another site (J3) I get
Affichage introuvable [name, type, prefix] : jdidealgateway, html, jdidealgatewayView


I don't know since when (I don't test the feature regularly :D ) but for sure it did work and I did not change anything in the configuration for some time.

BTW: I made a Search on https://rolandd.com/support/search/View%20not%20found%20[name,%20type,%20prefix]-%20article,%20html,%20jdidealgatewayView but it throws a "403 forbidden"

Hello Marc,

The solution is in the release notes. Yes, it is a change needed due to how routing works in Joomla 4, so I had to change the way RO Payments handles routes as well.

As for the 403, that will be because the server doesn't like what is in the URL. Even if it would have worked you would not find anything because the release notes are not indexed for searching.

Txs a lot for your quick reaction!

Indeed, creating a (hidden) Menu Item of Type "RO Payments > Checkout" did solve the issue. Phew :)

I try to follow the news of all the tools I used but I had not seen that changelog. Do you usually send newsletters to your customers when something is requested from them ?

I do not send newsletters anymore, tried it in the past but they are few and far in between. In addition the number of people actually reading them does not make it worthwhile in my opinion.

OK so maybe not a newsletter :) but what about a post-updating notification? Or even a check (like with CSVI) if a menu item is present?

That is an idea I can get behind. The automated check is something I am not sure about because it could lead to false/positives.

In the Joomla 4/5 native version that comes next I hope that routing will be a bit more sane than it is now between Joomla 3 and Joomla 4.
