Resolved Array error in Virtuemart plugin RO Payments

That should be because the old version is removed. Can you create a new payment method or the same error shows up? If the same error shows up when creating a new payment method, we need to see where VM is pulling the jdideal from. In the new version everything is called ropayments.

In the extension list I see 8.5 and 9.0. Though both versions are disabled the error is still there. I removed 8.5 and enabled 9.0. Now I can open the payment plugin, but have a new error:

If you get the same error, you will need to contact VirtueMart. The only thing I see from the error is that an incorrect SQL query seems to be generated but debugging this is out-of-scope I am afraid.

Unfortunately RO Payments 9 wasn't the solution. If you're sure it's Virtuemart than I have to contact them I guess. Or do you have a clue what is going wrong?

Since you are migrating, it might be a good moment to switch to RO Payments 9 as there won´t be any new releases for version 8.

Do you have an idea what else it could be?

Only that VirtueMart is trying to execute a query that is not correct. I see no indication that the issue lies with RO Payments.

I run the test site on Joomla 5.3.3, Php 8.3, Virtuemart 4.4.10.11120 and RO Payments 8.5.0.

So that trace (the second image) says a lot. There is no call coming from RO Payments, it is the VirtueMart form trying to read the currencies. Just to be sure, I created an RO Payments method on VM 4.4.4 and PHP 8.3 and it runs without a problem.

Perhaps you need to update VM for Joomla 5?

This error is not coming out of RO Payments.

We are migrating a webshop from Joomla 3 to 5.3.3. Maybe it has something to do with it. Or the Php version 8.1?

Can you turn on the debug mode of Joomla so we can get more information of where the issue comes from. No-one else has reported this and the VirtueMart plugin is a popular one.

Let us know and we can check what is going on.
