Hello again,

Since this is another issue then the one that's ongoing, I thought it'd be better to open up a new ticket.

So I mentioned before that the child import doesn't finish when there are deleted products in the XML file. It seems ok when the ProductVariations are still there but sometimes a deleted product (IsDeleted = True) will not have ProductVariations anymore and then the product looks like below:

The last product it imported is the product right before this one. Meaning, the import thinks it's reached the end of the file? Having Products/Product/IsDeleted = true as a skip rule doesn't help either.

Update:

To make sure this is the problem and it will continue otherwise, I removed about 10 products from the file and then ran the import. It now succesfully reached the end. Products with ProductVariations/ProductVariation/IsDeleted = True do not cause a problem. So it's only products like the example I posted above without any ProductVariations. These type of Products have always been there but only cause the import to halt since the V8.

Cheers

Hello Roderic,
We noticed that with the fix sent in the patch file, the record 112802-0 which comes after the node which has no ProductVariations is skipped and is not shown in preview or included in import. We have included a new fix with the attached patch file to solve this issue. Now all the records from import file shows and also are included in import. Please run the test with the patch file and let me know on how it goes.

Hello Roderic,
Please send us the import XML file and template XML file so we can check the import on our local site and see if we can reproduce the issue. To get your template XML file, in RO CSVI maintenance menu select RO CSVI on first option, backup templates on second option, select the template and download the XML file. Post the XML file.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Tharuna,

So attached is a file that I've trimmed down. First product is normal, 2nd product is deleted and causes trouble, 3rd and 4th product are normal again. This file is also now set-up in the test site and when you run the Parent import there, it works fine. Run the child product template and you will see it stops after the first product.

Cheers

Hello,

Any update on this? As right now I have to manually delete those products from the XML file every day and then run the update manually.

Thanks

Thanks, that fixed it. It now doesn't stop anymore. Worked on test and live site. I saw you were running imports at the same time as me, hopefully that didn't interfere with any testing.

Hello Tharuna,

- I applied the patch
- deleted all the products on the test website
- Added a few products without productvariations in Products-test.xml and then after that a normal product

All products in the test file where imported fine.
