I am using Joomla 3.7.4, Virtuemart 3.2.2 and CVSI Pro 7.2.4.

I have set up an export template to export orders from Virtuemart into an Excel CSV.

One of the fields I need to export is the 'shipment_name' but currently is exports the shipment name followed by the description as below.

eg 'R1Free - Royal Mail 1st Class UK Delivery'

Is there a way to export just the Name but not the description as below.

eg 'R1'

I have attached the export to see. Many thanks

Hello,

The shipment is retrieved from VirtueMart as it is entered into the system. It looks to me that the "description" is part of the name and not the separate description you can enter when you create a shipment method.

Is that correct?
Kind regards,

Hi Roland,

Thanks for your swift response.

I can confirm that it is pulling both the Name and Description. See the screenshot of the Shipment configuration.

I only want to export the R1 or D1.

Thanks.

Hello,

Apologies, I was looking in the wrong place. The shipment name doesn't come from the shipment options you set because it is stored in a separate table when ordering. This is to preserve the names in case they change later on. The names come from a database table called virtuemart_shipment_plg_xx where xx is the name of the shipment plugin you use. In my case the shipment name is stored in full there, including HTML tags. So, this is something we have to deal with.

All I can think of is that a replace rule needs to be created where you find everything before the dash and remove the rest. I am no expert in regular expressions but I think this should get you going.
(.*)-
. This will match everything up-to and including the dash. You can have a second replacement just to remove the space and the dash. Assign the rule to the shipping name field you added to your template and that should remove the description on export.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thank you for your advice!!!

I have now got the import only showing the Name through a replace rule.

Many thanks.
