Resolved VM3 Exclude No-Image products from export

Hi Roland,

Hope you are well; we would like to have a way to exclude products that have no pics assigned from exporting. This is important for example for Google Merchant, as it rejects products with no-pics. An option would be great in the settings for this.

This is not so easy to do with the current implementation because certain data might already have been spit out before it gets to the image, so you would end up with a broken export.

I have said it before and will say it again, CSVI could do with a specialised Google Merchant export. Could you send me an email with the basic requirements that such an export would need? I can build the export accordingly, we can tweak it where necessary. It would be appreciated.

All is ok here too, ofcourse still shaken by the Paris attacks.

Understood, i just thought that it would be easier to have a flag which, if set, CSVI will first check the image and then decide whether to proceed with the product processing.

CSVI is already doing a good job on the export, ofcourse tweaks are needed and i can help with that, if you are interested see below relevant product feed specification:

Hello Chris,

It has been some time since I had a chance to look at this. Now there is news :)

In CSVI 6.6.0, the next feature release I have added code to check for images of a product, if they don't exist, look for any possible parent images. If those do not exist, check for a default value. If that doesn't exist either, the product will be excluded from the export.

In addition I am building support for shipping rates using the VirtueMart shipping rules, so it's all dynamic :)
