Hi Roland/Tharuna

Would be grateful if you could assist with below virtuemart import query.

Using CSVI 7.0.2 with Virtuemart and Custom Filters Plug Ins. Joomla3.6.5, VirtueMart 3.0.18.2

Have created VM product import template.

Products import without obvious error, but are not showing on front end.

I have replicated problem on test space: https://cluster1050.extendcp.uk/rbdnew.co.uk/

When i run import of three products i get attached log com_csvi.log.82.zip

The products do not show on the front end so i tried manually cloning a product directly in VM. The weird thing is that instead of showing the cloned product it instead will make the first product imported visible??

At a loss to understand how that could happen and would appreciate any advice how i can get import to show on front end.

Kind regards

Tim

Hello Tim,
Your debug log looks good, there is nothing as noticeable error. Do you see those products on backend? Is it the issue is only with front end? Can you also send me the sample of your import file?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna

Import file as attached. Yes products are visible in backend

I wonder if it maybe something to do with the cross referencing to database tables?

Kind regards

Hello,
I ran the import here with your import file and can see all the products listed on my front end. I see that you have set the language for import as en-GB, can you check the default language set in your Joomla Extensions menu >> Language(s) >> Select site in filter options? See if there is another language set in there.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,

Something that pops up from time to time is the VirtueMart configuration. If you have a look at the Setting up a VirtueMart multi-language shop page and the section Configure VirtueMart. Can you check that just for en-GB. I know you don't have a multi-language shop but setting the language there seems to be best practice even if you just have one language in use.

See if that helps.
Kind regards,

Morning Roland

Thanks for your email.

This is also set as English (en-GB)

Also both the Category and Product import has English (en-GB) set on the options tab

If i manually create a product rather than upload, it then allows the next product to be shown under the category.

As an example if i create a csvi import of three lines nothing initially shows under the VM category (but they are present under latest products heading and in custom filters module). If i then create a product manually (i.e item 4, then item one 1 will show and so on)

A really weird one!

Kind regards

Tim

Hello,
but they are present under latest products heading and in custom filters module)

Now i really doubt if this has something to do with your front end category listing template in VirtueMart. The product has been imported fine and so it loads in these modules.

As an example if i create a csvi import of three lines nothing initially shows under the VM category (but they are present under latest products heading and in custom filters module). If i then create a product manually (i.e item 4, then item one 1 will show and so on)

A really weird one!

Really a weird one to say. Can you also check if this is something to do with pordering field? Just a thought as you are saying adding a new product is showing up the first one.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Tim,

Another thought came up, are your products linked to a specific shopper group? What if you set the shopper group to "Available for all" on an imported product, will it show then? It must be something "simple" like that.
Kind regards,

Hi Tharuna

Turns out there was an issue with VM 3.0.18.2

Have just used a later version of 3.0.18 and all good and importer works brilliantly

I appreciate yours and Rolands advice

Kind regards

Tim
