Resolved VM multiple feeds

hi,
im starting eshop with multiple suppliers.. i got xml feeds from them..
but there might be the issue with product_sku.. now i have setup first xml feed for import products.. i connect their product_id to vm product_sku.. but what if other supplier will have the product with the same id number?

how to solve this ?

Hello,
Yes, having same product_sku is going to be a problem. If there is already a product_sku value in database, product details will get updated and will not be considered as a new product. Do you have any other field which has a unique value for a product? Like product_mpn or product_gtin? With CSVI you can use any product field which has a unique value as import based on. You can set that in your import template and on Options tab with Import based on field.

hi.. in my first feed there is no other unique value.. im thinking if there is no possibility to give some prefix to product_sku by feed/vendor.. ?

Hello,
Yes, you can add a prefix per vendor to product_sku field. What you can do is create CSVI combine template field and add default value to this field which is the prefix you want to add for the vendor. You can then use CSVI Field combine plugin to create a rule to combine this CSVI combine template field with product_sku field. Let me know if this helps.
