Hi,
tried to add/modify some custom fields in VM. All fields are added instead of modified. The custom_title field is present. What happens.

Yes the debug log shows that the custom fields are inserted. Do you have these custom fields in VirtueMart already?

Ok, You see duplicates in Export file but what about VirtueMart Custom fields page? do you see duplicates in there too?

In that case, can you also send me your import XML file? I tested here with a test file and don't see custom fields getting duplicated. I have your template, i can run import with your file and check.

made an export of custom fields and reimport the same file on beta.weingut-online.de. All custom fields are duplicated. Attached the templates and fields file.

Hello Teresa,
For some reason when i ran the import with your template and your file on my local site, i was not able to see the duplicates with custom fields but in the process of checking i was able to find a bug in code and fixed it. I have applied the patch on your beta.weingut-online.de site. As of now i see single custom field entries in VirtueMart Custom fields page and no duplicates with your site. I did not run the import. Can you run the import and check if the duplicate issue is solved? Let me know when your import is done so i can check further.
