Hello,
I'm working on transferring VirtueMart information from a Joomla 2.5 website to Joomla 3.0 website. I have read the guides and tried exporting and importing so many time. I have been getting different errors and some of them I was able to figure out but the something else went wrong.

This is the newest error that I got today.
*** 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3 SQL=SELECT name FROM jsvoc_csvi_template_settings WHERE id = ***

I'm transfering from Joomla 2.5 Virtuemart 2.0.26d to Joomla 3.0 VirtuMart 3.0.4.

I have attached the file that I was trying to import.

I'm really having a hard time with exporting and importing all the information. Is it possible for you to do this for me? What would it cost?

Thank You

Hello,

I can't do this for you due to personal circumstances. However you can post the information as requested under Looking for a useful answer? The debug log is very important to post. Just looking at your file doesn't tell me the whole story.

That error you posted is weird, as it doesn't seem to have anything to do with a category import.

What you should do is, explain me in detail what you are trying to do and which CSV file you used and include the debug log, then I can help you to move forward.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hello,

I have merged your 2 topics into one because it is the same question. The debug log is not included but let's focus on the file you attached and clean that up.

The first column, category_name can be removed since you have the category_path in the file. There is a problem with line 21 in your file, it has too many commas. So I cleaned up the file for you, you can use this for doing your category import.

Let me know how it goes. When attaching the debug log, make sure it is zipped.

Thank You for the file. I tried importing it and I got the following error.

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 3 SQL=SELECT name FROM jsvoc_csvi_template_settings WHERE id = 1064

This is really exhausting me and I can't get it to work. Is there any way that I can give you access to both the Joomla 2.5 website and the new Joomla 3.0 website. Would you be able to port all the virtumart stuff over for me? I will pay you. Just let me know how much you will charge.
