CSVI Pro 7.1.0

I really hate to bother you guys with this but I have searched and searched and can't seem to find an answer. Is it possible to create a template that will export total quantity of each product sold in VM during a given period? I could even use a template that exports every instance of a sold item during a set period, then I could sort and sum with Excel. Basically, I am looking to create a sales report to see how many of item X, item Y, and item Z I sold last year. Sorry if my question is basic and I am just being dense! :)

Hello,

CSVI is not a reporting tool by nature however since it can export data it can come close to it. There are just no aggregations, those will need to be done in a spreadsheet. The VM Order Item export is what you need to look at. This has all the product information details and has the ability to filter on date ranges. The rest you can do in Excel as you mentioned.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thank you, Roland! I ended up installing the example templates and figured out that the Order Item Export template would work. Modified it to remove certain things and at least got the data. I was then able to work with it in Excel. It would have been less work, of course, to have something that compiled it already. Have you ever thought of creating a separate component or even some kind of plugin for CSVI that would do this and other reporting tasks? From my searching, there is just not any VM report components that are kept up to date and work. Anyway, thanks for the reply and great support as always!

Hello,

There used to be a good reporting tool made by Interamind but I see they ceased operations. So I have not thought about building my own reporting component also CSVI keeps me quite busy :) Perhaps it can be something to venture into.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Yes, Interamind left a bunch of us hanging! I use their Advanced E-mail component and paid for a lifetime license only to have them stop after 1.5 years! Had to hire Jumbo from India to patch it up to keep it running with the updates to Joomla!
