Ah, I see what you mean. Go to Maintenance -> Available Fields and click Update. After that check if you see the fields like product_name.

Which type of template are you creating? The product_name field has no relation to having a multi-lingual site because the field is always there.

Please provide more information on what you are doing, now it is too cryptic.
