Hello

Hope you are well

I want now to import products in virtuemart from a given CSV file but need to find the values in an othertable (manufacturers).

exemple for manufacturers :

I have a field "MARQUE" in my csv source file looking like "DLIN"

I read "DLIN" in source csv file, then must find it in the manufacturer table located in field "metakey" and need to return full name located in manufacturer "mf_name" ( "D-LINK" ) in order to write it in my product field "manufacturer_name"

Well, hope this is clear enought and that you can help me ;-)

This is SO sad the possibility is not there :dry: Maybe a great improvement for the future ...

OK, no choice, as I don't understand much in plugins and as I don't have much time lets go for replacement rule...

Hello Eric,

What you are asking is not something CSVI can do out-of-the box. The only way to do this using the core is to create replacement rules but these values would be hardcoded. The only option I see that you have here is to write your own replacement rule. We have documentation on Writing a rule plugin.

Once you have the rule plugin you can assign it to the manufacturer_name field and it can retrieve the data for you.
