Hi,
I have made a template to export items with the product attribute (size) and a few other columns from VM
although i have read the past post that VM 3rd party Extensions are not supported.
I have a VM plugin on our VM component that allow our customers to type in a name.
It is stored in DB as part of order.
How in the world can i bring that into our export template.
If i cannot do that this component i purchased will be useless to me.
Please advise the best way

You have not explained which fields you have in your order export template. So I am going to guess here.

I believe this is possible in VM without a plugin?

How in the world can i bring that into our export template.
The question would more be, How in the world does VirtueMart store this information. All custom data is stored in a single field by VirtueMart. You will have to export the product_attribute field. This is the field where VirtueMart stores all the information.

If the data of your 3rd party plugin does not come out, the question becomes, where is that data stored? That is something you will need to find out as we don't know what all 3rd party plugins do.

THanks for response.. i just made the text input into VM field area on checkout.. made it easier ..
but now i am getting

The last server response has not been received in a timely fashion. The server may still be busy or stopped the process. You can wait a little longer to see if the server will sent a response or cancel the process.

on exports..
even unpublished most of the fields
to narrow it down
but still keep getting this .
changed execution time too
not sure.. im bewildered.
need to export today too.
please help if possible.

Hello,

There can be many reasons as to why this happens. Let's see, edit the template and set the number of records to export to 5 for example. In the From record you can put 1 and in the To record you can set 5. Run the export and see if it works. If it works, you can increase these numbers and see if you hit any limit on the server.

In case you still get the message, something else is going on. In CSVI go to the About page and check if all folder permissions are correct.

In case all folder permissions are correct, we need to see what happens with the AJAX request CSVI sends to your server. Have a look at the Analyze documents and post a screenshot of the console. So we can see what happens there.

Hello,
Can you try doing a simple export template with product_sku and product_name fields? Keep the export limit of 1 to 5 records as Roland suggested and see what happens.

Also, post the screenshot of your console tab instead of network tab if you still have issues with simple export as suggested.

Hello,
Your screenshot shows there is no Javascript error so i am thinking there is something which is interrupting the export of CSVI. Do you have any firewall installed on site? can you whitelist CSVI in your firewall? Can you also check the installed plugins in your plugin manager? I am thinking if any plugin is stopping the CSVI export.
