Resolved Virtuemart component/add on not showing.

Hello,

I have some problem with CSVI + VM addon. After installation, I don't see the "virtuemart" option anywhere. I checked other posts, but I found no solution (yes, virtuemart is installed ;) ).

These are system details:

Joomla! Platform Version 3.4.8
PHP Version 5.5.33
VM 3.0.12
------
CSVi 6.5.4
CSVi Virtuemart 6.5.4
------
(no errors on installation)

When creating a new template, I cannot see on the list the "virtuemart" option.
And when installing templates examples, "virtuemart" examples are not installed neither.

(no conflict with plugins detected)

When trying to enter the "Download ID" I also get this...
Error Could not save data. Error:

I have tried to uninstall following instructions (first, with maintenance command, clean all tables, and then unistalling) and I got this:

After this, I tried to install everything again... but no difference.

Any idea about what to check?

Hallo! I have similar trouble.
Joomla 3.8.0., VirtueMart 3.2.2, pkg_csvi_7.2.4_pro

I installed all this applications: https://csvimproved.com/downloads/csvi-pro-extensions/csvi-pro-extensions-7-2-2

But I do not see component virtuemart in list of components in csvimproved.

Hello,
There is no VirtueMart addon version 7.2.3 as there has been fixes done only to CSVI core component and not to VirtueMart addon. But it looks like you have installed VirtueMart addon version 7.1.0 and not 7.2.0 version. Please install 7.2.0 version and see if the error message is gone.

i have installaed all plugin, now i can see the component, but CVI notify " CSVI Pro - VirtueMart Sito Plugin 7.1.0" is outdated i have all other plugin CVI 7.2.3
whre coud i find the CSVI Pro - VirtueMart 7.2.3?

Let's check if there is a CSVI Pro entry in Joomla. In your database execute this query 
SELECT * FROM jos_extensions WHERE type = 'component' and name LIKE '%csvi%';
replace jos with your own prefix. If you get a result, what is in the params column? If you don't get a result we know why you get an error. That entry is missing in that case.

I have tried with the ARTIO JoomSEF Download ID (that I have a paid version) and no error appears. If you have any idea about where to have a look (Joomla DB) or similar, please let me know. So far, the CSVI is working fine (I've just done some testing), so this is not urgent.

Hello,

The place you are entering the Download ID is perfectly fine, this is the only place where you can do that. What is strange is the error you get because there is no error message. In other words, we have no clue why it fails. Can you store any other settings for other components?

Ok. After upgrading both joomla and CSVI as suggested, and after the reset indicated, I can see now on the template list the Virtuemart option. This looks solved then. Thank you.

About this point:

Yes, I see the CSVI Pro. In fact, I don't know anyway of entering the download ID but from the component -> CSVI Pro menu. But I still get the same error.

Hello,

Let's break down the issues you have. First the CSVI version, the current version is 6.5.5, you will need to update to that version to be able to run it on Joomla 3.5. I know you have 3.4.8 but that should be updated as well :)

Second, not seeing VirtueMart in the dropdowns, you need to install the addon after you installed CSVI component, so that is one thing you should check. The second is to go to Maintenance -> Tasks and click Reset. After that check if you see VirtueMart in the task list. If you see VirtueMart in the task list, go to Maintenance -> Available Fields and click Update, so you have all the fields.

And when installing templates examples, "virtuemart" examples are not installed neither.
This also indicates that the addon is installed before the component.

Finally the Download ID, this is odd because this is not CSVI but Joomla code. So Joomla can't save the configuration. It would almost indicate that there is no database entry for CSVI. You do see CSVI under Component -> CSVI Pro?
