Hi,
the process of importing an existing category, does not update the category, but creates a new one.

When I try to update for example the "category name" (thus also the category path), despite also declaring the virtuemart_category_ID & the category_parent_ID, the process creates a new category respecting only the path.

Another problem:
the "Pubblished" field updates the value within the category detail but the value in the category list remains unchanged (virtuemart admin backend).

I insert import template & DebugLog

This is my configuration:

Virtuemart 3.8.8
RO CSVI Version: 8.6.1
PHP version: 7.4.33

Can you help me?
Many thanks

Hello,

With virtuemart_category_id other details of category should be updated. Please load the attached patch file and check the import. Also in your category import template on Options tab set Keep Category ID field to Yes so new categories are created with same ID as in import file.

the "Pubblished" field updates the value within the category detail but the value in the category list remains unchanged (virtuemart admin backend).

Category detail and category list page uses same field for published. So if the category is set to published then it should be same on both pages. Check if it is VirtueMart cache creating this.

Hi,

with the patch, the category update problem has been solved! Many thanks.

For the problem in the "publication" field, downloading the joomla/virtuemart cache (maintenance/clear cache from Joomla management) solves the problem.

Is there a feature to automate the clear cache feature in RoCSVI?

Also, I have seen a new update of RoCSVI 8.7, does this new version contain the path for category update?

Best regards.

Thank you for confirming patch is working.

No there is no feature in RO CSVI for clearing VirtueMart cache.

Also, I have seen a new update of RoCSVI 8.7, does this new version contain the path for category update?

The fix from patch was not included in this release. You can update to RO CSVI 8.7.0 version and then load the patch file again. This fix will be included in next RO CSVI release.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
