Resolved Virtuemart Category Delete question

2 questions that I could do with pointing in the right direction

1 - I want to set up an import template with product_sku,category_path
So that I can add a product to an additional category. i.e the product will already be in categories A, B & C & now I just want to add it to D

2 - The reverse of the above - I want to set up an import template with product_sku,category_path
So that when importing the file it Removes the product from Category D, but leaves the product in Categories A,B & C

Hello Andy,

  1. You can do this by setting the option Append categories to Yes. This will not remove any existing categories before adding new ones.
  2. This is not possible.

Well, no one has asked for it yet to remove products from selected categories on import. As a bit of a stretch, with CSVI 6 you could code your own plugin to do this for you on import.

Where is this option?

I have tried setting a Category & Product Import up, but cant see it in either of them :blink:

Hit the Advanced button in the toolbar of the product import template :)
