Resolved Update Virtuemart price_overide and price_without_tax fields

Hi,

I am having an issue with updating pricing on the virtuemart products. I would like to update the override price, and the base price / price without tax (basically the 1st and 3rd price on virtuemart products.)

The update price part of CSVI does not give me these options? I have even tried using the products part of CSVI, however it simply doesnt work. I also have an issue, as the price changes the products to "default shopper", and then doesnt display on my website anyway?

Please assist on how to add to these values.

Hi,

I can send you the import sample file I want to upload, however the fields are not available when I upload them, so I cannot send a log file product export test1.csv

Hello,
I am not able to understand why you don't get the debug log. In your import template on Details tab set Enable logging option to Yes and save the template. Once your import is done would get an option to download the debug log. Download and post it here. Debug log will give us the information on which fields are updated.

Looking at your import file, it does not follow the fields needed to update price. You need to use product_price_new and product_price field to update your old price. Take a look at VirtueMart Price import document and in the examples section.

Hi,

Since the override price etc is not available to add, I have not imported it, also how do I set the shopper_group_name to all, since it sets it to default, it does not display on the website?

These are the fields they say they need, however I need override price and price without tax, or base price etc?

Hello,
I now understand what you are saying, you can use VirtueMart product import for importing your file and product_override_price, price_with_tax and product_price fields are available in this import. To update shopper group name use shopper_group_name_new field set to *(for all) in your import. This will update your old shopper group name.

If you have any difficulty post us the debug log to check.

Hi,

I updated the libraries, however I am getting 2 issues.

The products are not being set to "overwrite final", so the override price is not showing, and it adds a price each time i import the file, instead of updating the price? Once these 2 issues are sorted, it will work.

Hello,
To set to "overwrite final" you need to add a field override in your import file with value 1. For price getting added issue i do see a new price has been inserted from your debug log. CSVI finds a price record from database using product_price , product_currency, shopper_group_name, price_quantity_start, price_quantity_end fields. If any one of these field values are different in your import file from what is saved in your database, a new price will be added. Check these values you are importing are same as saved in database.

Hi,

I added the field override, however it does not pick it up in the import product price template?

All the fields were the same, however it once again added another price, the same as the one that was there?

Hello,
I dont see override field in your import file. You need to add the field to update override final.

For price getting added, you have shopper_group_name_new field in your import file but CSVI needs shopper_group_name field with your old shopper group name to select the price record. Also if you are updating a price you need product_price field with old price and product_price_new with new price to be updated in your import file. Please go through the Examples section in VirtueMart Price import document.
