Hi,

I've created an Virtuemart Product Import template.
Every night a CSV is being imported with a cron job, using this template.

On the 'Options' tab I've set 'Unpublish before import' to 'Yes'. How I expected this to work is:
- first unpublish ALL products, whether they are in the CSV or not
- import or update the products from the CSV
- set product => 'pulbished' = 1 where column 'published' from CSV is set to 1
This is how it worked for me on an other site so far, using CSVI Pro 5.13.

The behaviour of CSVI Pro 6 (currently using 6.4.1) seems to be different, or is not working at all: The import doesn't seem to touch products that are not mentioned in the CSV.

Can you please let me know what I should do to get things working as expected (meaning: unpublish ALL products before import, incl. those not mentioned in CSV)

Thank you,

Kind regards,
Ralph

Hello Ralph,

How I expected this to work is:
That is how I would expect it to work as well. So I did some testing with importing via the browser and via the CLI, in both cases the products were all unpublished, except for the one I imported with published is 1.

Can you please let me know what I should do to get things working as expected
Let's start with providing me with the debug log of your import, so I can see what is happening.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Ofcourse. I thought I had added it with my 2nd edit of the original post.
I think it failed due to file size. I've zipped it and should now be included with this reply.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:
Seems to have failed again. File can also be downloaded here:

The zipped file is just over 250KB, that is why it failed.

The debug log tells me that you are using CSVI 6.3.0 although you mentioned 6.4.1. I wonder if the update has been OK. You could always uninstall and install CSVI again, to make sure you have the latest files.

I have run the import in 3 ways, upload, from sever and from FTP. All three worked as is. I think the issue is in the version number difference because somethign has changed between 6.3.0 and 6.4.1 that deals with this area. A first try could be to install CSVI 6.4.1 again and also CSVI VirtueMart addon 6.4.1. So we are sure the latest code is being used. This should be reflected in the log file.
Kind regards,

RolandD

I first tried only installing latest VM addon over the old one, and it's working already!

Thanks,
