Hi Roland

I almost finished the spanish translation for backend of version 6 and I was testing the file.

EDIT: Sorry I posted in wrong section

I see there are 2 files:

en-GB.com_csvi.ini and en-GB.com_csvi.sys.ini

These appear in: administrator/components/com_csvi/language/en-GB

And in /components/com_csvi/language/en-GB I find another file en-GB.com_csvi.ini

I downloaded the files from transifex and placed them in administrator/language/es-ES as es-ES.com_csvi.ini and es-ES.com_csvi.sys.ini

This seems to work, so no need to place them in the other folders no?

Hello,

The language files belong in the folder: administrator/components/com_csvi/language/en-GB and /components/com_csvi/language/en-GB

This seems to work, so no need to place them in the other folders no?
You can place them in the component folder or the main language folder. Joomla will read it from both locations.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Thanks Roland

As a side note, I think it will be better if the projects for CSVI5 and CSVI6 are separate in transifex.

Im translating version 6 which I believe is the inmediate future and the most interesting for us and users considering the end of life of j 2.5 series.

Currently the percentaje completed is taking in to account version 5 files which may lead to confusion for some users thinking is not completed.

I prefer translating extensions and rules for version 6 than 5.

Anyway is not something urgent or super important but I just think would be better to separate projects so people can actually see that files are translated and exact progress.

Hello,

As for the language files for CSVI 5, they will be removed at some point because I want only set of active files. Since CSVI 5 will be unsupported later, it won't make sense to keep them.

As for adding the CSVI 6 translations to the translations page, I looked at it this weekend. It turned out not to be useful because the language packs created can't be used for the addons, so it would only work for the main package. I have build a new release system that will automatically download languages from Transifex and include them in the distribution package if the completed percentage is 50% or above. Thanks to your work I could see that Spanish is being picked up :) So Spanish will be included in the next release of CSVI 6.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland

Just a reminder for this topic, If you could please remove or separate translations for CSVIpro 5 from actual version 6 in Transifex.

The spanish frontend and backend is completed for actual version but with the old files the percentage is not real if you understand what I mean.

Only one key in CSVI 6 backend which drives me crazy: COM_CSVI_USE_CRON

Displays strange symbols in Transifex and I can't locate the text in CSVI backend in joomla to make sure I do it correctly.

Also in Transifex CSVI Rules "Multi replace" not sure that plugin exists anymore cause the only one I see available is "replace" which I translated already.

I don't know if the rules and extensions are included automatically in updates of the package as you mentioned back then in this post.

Anyway I plan to translate all the extensions for CSVIPro too and would help to have it clean of deprectaded files in Transifex.
This could afraid other translators seeing the amount of work with CSVIpro 5 files still there.

Hello,

Thank you for the reminder. I have now completely cleaned up Transifex and made it ready for the CSVI 7 release. All CSVI 5 translations have been removed and all new plugins have been added.

The COM_CSVI_USE_CRON text is as follows. I have to use the hide tag otherwise the forum changes the text ;)

There are a number of \n\t symbols there, that is to create a new line and a tab. The "_QQ_" are there to create double quotes. There are some tags between < > to indicate a value. Does that help?

The Multi-replace is a new plugin that is going to replace the Replace plugin in CSVI 7.

Thank you very much for your work in translation.
Kind regards,

RolandD
