Resolved template fields are not added

Hi,

Joomla 3.8.3
Virtuemart 3.2.12
CSVI 7.2.3 and also tried with 7.3.0
PHP 5.6.30

I updated the website to latest Joomla and VM version.
I was trying to import custom fields for VM products but I received a 500 error. I updated csvi to the latest version (7.3.0) and tried again but I had to re-make the template fields, they were lost. But when I try to add template fields, nothing happens. Normally they are added as a list but now nothing happens. it looks like he tries to update the list but nothing happens.

I de-installed and re-installed everything, also with version 7.2.3.
When i active error-report, i get to see the following warning at the template fields:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/xxxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_csvi/views/template/tmpl/fields.php on line 60

But I can't find anything about this warning.

Hello,
I couldn't find how to send a PM but in the editor i had shortcodes to set it privatly?

You can click on my profile icon to land on my profile page and from there you can send private message by clicking Write private message link.

In addition to what Tharuna said, you can also click in the More link below a persons profile and then click on the text balloons. That will take you directly to the private message system.

If you have tried import with CSVI 7.2.3 version then you need to update to CSVI 7.2.4 or latest 7.3.0 version as there was an compatability issue with Joomla 3.8 version and was fixed from CSVI 7.2.4 version.

Did you update your available fields after doing the CSVI update? Give it a try and see if the issue is solved.

The warning is because of that you don't have any template fields. Check updating available fields solves this.

Hi,

thanks for your fast reply.

I did the following:

I updated to 7.3.0
I updated available fields

If i put error reporting ON, the message is gone BUT the problem that i can't add fields is still there.
I don't get any message, I don't see any errors in the error log...

I don't know what I can do more to find the problem.

let me explain my problem again:
csvi pro -> templates -> I click on a template -> fields -> edit template fields
If I try to add a field, the page looks to refresh but nothing is added.

When I try to import and use the file for configuration, the import works.
So I think I can manage it using this way

Hi,

I've checked your link but I don't really get an error in console but then I checked in phpMyAdmin and I also didn't saw the database field source_field.
So I added by the SQL query you suggested. I get a message that it was suiccessfull but he also said something as ...0 rows... SO I checked the database again and I can see the source_field now. I'm not 100% sure if it was there before or not.

I tried but I still got the same issue I updated the available fields again and I optimised the database tabel but still the same.

The only error I get to see in console is when I go to templates -> click on a template and then I get to see errors in attachment. But I don't get any errors to see when I try to add fields.

Those errors are not related to the issue you are having with template fields. Can you send me a private message of your site administrator login details and database access details? I will take a look at it.

Hello,
It is advised to send the login details as a private message and not to post them on the forum as it is open to public.

So i had a look at your site and found a missing field table_name in #__csvi_templatefields table. I added the field and now your template fields show up. Can you check and confirm?
