Hello,

As I already mentioned somewhere else, the functionality of Stockable Custom Fields on import has changed since 9.3.0 and this broke importing the Parent / Child in separate templates.

I tested it on 9.2.0, there it worked as it did in the last 3/4 years. Meaning, importing the parents + Stockables, will create a "placeholder" / empty custom field, which will then be filled on importing childs.

Cheers,
Roderic

Hello Roderic,
Please load the attached patch file and run the import. Parent product rows will not be deleted if there are no child products. Try and let me know on how it goes.

Hello Roderic,
I found why this happens. We did a fix in RO CSVI 9.3.0 version in stockablecustomfields code to remove unwanted row entries after import is finished. In your case child products are not updated and so those rows are deleted. This was fixed considering parent and child products are all imported in one import. We will look into this and get back with an update.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi,

I thought all runs smoothly now, unfortunately, there is still an issue.

I import the parents in one template, then the import of childs is separated into two seperate templates. One for shoes and one for all other products as I use another stockable/customfield for shoes. As soon as I run one of those child templates, it will work for those products, but it will also remove the placeholders for the products that were skipped and would be imported with the other template. So you can basically run only one template with childs succesfully.

Cheers,
Roderic

Yes that is correct. After child product import is done we remove unused parent rows. Let me again work on this and get back to you.

Hello Roderic,
We have moved the code to remove Obsolete parent rows of SCF as a maintenance task with attached patch file. Import will now keep the parent rows and If user wants to remove these unused rows it can be done using maintenance page. Please load the attached patch file and run the import. Check if the patch file solves your issue.
