Hi,
I am not able to import correctly some products using the stockable custom fields of breakdesign. I cannot see any cart selection in frontend, even if after import I can see custom fields set correctly (see image).
I followed instructions for the creation of the stockable custom field and instructions for the creation of csv file to be imported as well (https://www.csvimproved.com/support/import/203-virtuemart/833-stockable-variants-import). I downloaded, installed and enable the csviext plugin "CSVI Import Stockable Custom Fields", so CSVI should work properly.
But, maybe I am missing something. For example, shall I set category_path also for children? I did not by now.
Can you help me in understanding what's wrong with csv file?
I am attaching log file after the import.
I have another question for you: in order to use stockable custom field, I have to first create the separate custom fields that I have to add to the stockable one. Anyone of these fields shall not be set as cart variant nor as cart input.
It's not clear to me if I shall use string custom fields (like I did) or if I can use also customfieldsforall fields (plugin custom field). And, in that case, if they shall/have to be set as cart variant and cart input.

Thanks

Hi Tharuna,
please give a look at the attached images.
i posted just one string custom field setting, since the others are configured the same way.

Hello,
Time ago I read that children products shall not be cathegorized in order to import them correctly. This was related to default Virtuemart custom fields, so it's not dealing with customfieldsforall or stockable custom field. I do not know if this is still true, but this is why I left category_path empty for all children.

Yes, adding the category_path for children makes the child product to show as a regular product but not as child.

Let me know if csv file is wrong or if I setup custom fields badly.

Your CSV file looks good to me, so i doubt with the way stockable custom fields is created. Can you share a screenshot on how you have setup the stockable custom fields in virtuemart?
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hi Tharuna,
I am attaching csv file. Just consider that last product does not contain all the children here: I split a big file into smaller files, so other children are contained in another file I did not imported yet. However this should not be a problem (I suppose!).

If you try the combo stockablecustomfield + customfieldsforall and make it working, let me know. Maybe it shall work better even in frontend (searches results for example) with respect to use Vm custom fields.

These all looks good as per your log file. But the way custom fields added to stockable custom field seems to be wrong.

Yes, you can add category_path to children but your CSV file was missing in your last post. I can help you more if i can have a look at the csv file. Please post it.

To be able to import to stockable custom field, You need to first create a separate parent custom field and then add all these string custom fields to it. This is explained in the document you linked. To be frank we have not tried customfieldsforall fields with stockable custom fields but this seems to be a good idea to give a try. I will try it and post you on what i find.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
