Dear All!

I have a big issue! I got this message during import:

An error has occured during the import. Below the information received from the server.
Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8mb4_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '=' .

I have dumped the sql file, changed the collation to utf8_genaral_ci an all tables, but after reupload I still have this error.

If I dont use special characters like é,á,ő,é in the import file, the import finish smoothly.

Stange issue, and I need some help asap.

Thank you

Zsolt

Hello Zsolt,

I have a big issue!
Not only you, CSVI has fallen victim to your database.

I have dumped the sql file, changed the collation to utf8_genaral_ci an all tables, but after reupload I still have this error.
Check not only the tables but also the fields. We have explained this in the Deal with different collations in MySQL.

Just make sure there is no difference in any collation, you can limit yourself for now to the tables you are importing to.
Kind regards,

RolandD

Hi Roland!

I just went trough on each table, but I was not able to identify the bad one.

Can you please help me to discriminate the bad collation?

Thank you

Hello Zsolt,
Can you send the mysql dump of your tables which are related to your import? You can send it as an email to tharuna@csvimproved.com. Let us see if there is any difference in the columns for these tables.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello Zsolt,
As per our email conversation, this issue has been solved and the cause for the issue was that import file was not UTF-8 encoded.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
