hi, I have followed the tutorial but I could not solve my problem.
I would like to create a file using the export command, and then have the example on which to build the file that I'll have to import.
I created two export templates, one for the table virtuemart_products, and one for the table virtuemart_products_it_it, but when I run the export neither template is exported. The Log file reports "records" = 0! but there are four products in the db, and also 4 products son.
I watched many times all the tutorials but I can not find the solution and now I ask your help.

Don't do that, you only need the VirtueMart product export and select the Italian language on the Options tab. The way you are doing it is too difficult. Have a look at the Export VirtueMart products tutorial. Give that a try and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Hello,
Don't do that, you only need the VirtueMart product export and select the Italian language on the Options tab.

In Option Tab there is NO language selection :( (see attach)

I created a new template using "virtuemart_product" as CustomTable. In Field Tab> edit field> quick add, I product_name, product_desc, and other fields of the Italian language version. How should I do? I attach screenshot of the VM configuration and panel Option of CSVI

In Option Tab there is NO language selection
That is because you are choosing the wrong export.

On the Details tab set the Component to VirtueMart and the Operation to Product and save the template. Now go to the Options tab and choose Italian as language.

If you do not see VirtueMart as Component, this means you have not installed the VirtueMart add-on. Go to the download page and download the add-on and install this on the site as well. This will give you the VirtueMart related tasks.

wow, This is a big step forward! Now the tabs are as you say.
Despite this I still have trouble understanding the operation ...
I assigned the product table in the detail tab, I selected language (in Tab options) but when I go to edit fields, list missing product_name, product_desc etc.
Have a hard head, how do I retrieve these fields?

waiting to figure out how to get all the fields, There is also another problem, trying to export a couple of fields from those available, the system reports an error:

You mean you chose the Product operation on the Detail tab?

Have a hard head, how do I retrieve these fields?
Go to Maintenance -> Available Fields and click Update. If that doesn't give you the fields, go to Maintanance -> Tasks -> Reset and confirm and then run the Update again.

As for the folder issue, go to CSVI Pro -> About and check the folder status, if they are writable. The issue is that CSVI tries to write a temporary file into the folder tmp/com_csvi/export. That folder should exist and have enough priviliges to write to.

Ooookkkk! Now it's OK!

OK, this fixed the folder issue... and now everything seems to work fine!
