On CSV import page, with the last server response time, it would be useful to know what file is being imported.

(Especially in scenarios with long import times, and parallel imports in separate tabs.)

Thanks

Hello,
On CSV import page, with the last server response time, it would be useful to know what file is being imported.

The last server response time comes from server when there is a problem in doing the import. You should adjust your template settings so you don't see this error. Also i don't see a reason to see filename when the import process is running. The filename is displayed anyways in the log details page with all other details of import when the import is finished.

(Especially in scenarios with long import times, and parallel imports in separate tabs.)

Are you running all these long imports manually? This could also a be a reason for last server response error. Server has a execution time limit, when that limit is hit you get import timeout error. Why not use cron for long imports? Cron import will be faster and you can set the imports one after another by setting a time.
Kind regards,

Tharuna

Hello,

I was misunderstood. I was referring to the last step in CSV import, where the page shows the number of records successfully processed (in chunks), and the server response timer. I wasn't referring to an error page.

But... yes, I am running long imports from the browser and it has now become a very slow process (thousands of entries).
I am really interested in the Cron imports, especially if I can speed up the process considerably.

I have found this reference: https://rolandd.com/products/ro-csvi/features/cron-jobs
I know next to nothing about Cron jobs, and the above only mentions the benefits. Is there a more in-depth guide for CSVi, I can use?

Thanks

Hello,
Take a look at Setting up a cron job in RO CSVI document to know on how to set up your import as Cron. There should be an option in your CPanel to set up cron on your server. Check with your hosting provider if you cannot see the option for cron jobs.
Kind regards,

Tharuna
