Resolved Several issues Beta 3

Ey Roland I have been testing more. I unistalled, deleted the tables and made a clean install of beta 3 but the same problems ocurr.

For the issue number 1 I noticed something really strange.

Our setting is to export orders with "confirmed" status. This return no value unless orders are saved manually.
However If I set the template to export "pending" status it does export the pending orders (even without being saved).

Dont know if this could help you find out the issue.

Thanks for the detailed report. Issue number 1 is really strange, this would mean, the order status is not set or something. I will have to try this out and see what happens.

Issue 3, I will check them.

As for issue 4, I don't understand what you mean with split orderline? You mean an order with multiple products?

I attach you image for issue 4. Basicly is the empty space line separation you introduced which was working fine previous betas but not now.

Issue number 1 is really strange, I can export all orders except the confirmed unless they are saved, seems as CSVIPRO wasnt reading the automatically generated confirmed orders by the customers.

Please let us know any updates on the issue regarding the confirmed orders, we have to enter in the details of each order manually and save them in order for CSVIpro to recognise and export the order, a bit of a pain B)

The thing that is weird is that the order export hasn't changed and for CSVI to only see the orders after you saved them, seems to indicate that something is not set in the database.

Can you do an export of the order table with like the last 10 or 20 records that contain automatically confirmed orders and email this to me? I would like to see if there is something that could explain what the difference is between an auto-confirmed order and a manually confirmed order.

So I have taken a look at things and found that you set in your template that CSVI should only export the orders that have an ST address. That is why you are not getting all orders, you should set this to Billing or Shipping. As to why, that is in the tooltip

I have changed this setting already, please have a look and let me know what you think.

In previous betas of CSVI we always had the order address type to "shipping" address only cause what we want is the shipping info in case an order has billing and shipping info and that used to work. If and order had ship to we will get those details and if it had bill to only those.

If we set billing and shipping we get the "full name" from the billing and the address from the ship to. Confusing.

I think by setting "only shipping" the idea is to extract always the shipping details for adress, full name etc and in case is not found the billing info, just like previous CSVI.

PD: If you ask me the main error here is the term "order address type" wich ideally would be "order details or order info from" shipping or billing.

Think of it as trying to export the "full name" of the ship to, with this logic is not working

I think we either need a field to export the full name of the ship to or the system to actually export the shipping info if available or the billing info in case there is no ship to but I still believe there is a bug here somehow cause saving orders manually makes possible to export the ship to info (including full name of the ship to).

That is what the Billing or Shipping info is for. If you choose only Shipping, only the shipping information will be taken if it exists.

Just to be clear, this code hasn't changed in CSVI and has been there for a few years now.

That is on my todo list to see what changed there. In case you didn't know VirtueMart only stores a shipping address if the customer filled this out. If there is no shipping address filled in, VirtueMart stores only the billing address. A very annoying way of working but perhaps this has changed.

Just something that comes to mind, if I saw correctly when I open an order now, the shipping address is always filled, perhaps with the billing details. Saving the order manually would then create the shipping entry in the order table and as such CSVI would export that. That is something to be checked.

We were in vm2 and j2.5 when we used beta1 and there we could export the shipping info including full name for shipping.

As you know there is a difference between full name for billing and full name for shipping.

This is the big problem for us currently.

By setting: export billing and shipping information if there is shipping info this one appears in the address which is good but the full name there is from the bill to.

If vm stores ship to once the order is saved how is it possible that CSVI exports automatically created orders (without manual store) with the ship to address when setting export billing and shipping but not with just shipping.

I have taken a closer look at this and I see the following. When a customer places an order there is only the billing address in the order user table. Checking the order in VirtueMart shows that VirtueMart fills the shipping address with the exact same details of the billing address. Once you save the order from the backend, VirtueMart stores the shipping address as well. What happens now is that your order user table suddenly has 2 entries, both billing and shipping, which you don't have when the user orders with only a billing address. This is why you can export only shipping addresses after you save them in the backend.

As you know there is a difference between full name for billing and full name for shipping.

Are you using the shipping_full_name for export? This will give you the full name from the shipping addres or if it doesn't exist you get the full name of the billing address.

That is the key question and the main issue we have. The shipping_full_name only exports the shipping full name if exists but if there is no shipping full name a blank value appears, is not using the full name of the billing address.

We are getting close, solving that would solve all this issue

My comment about the shipping_full_name is incorrect. The situation is as follows, we have the full_name which is the billing name, we have the shipping_full_name which is the shipping name. If either is empty (billing is not supposed to be empty), it will give you an empty value because it won't exist. This makes sense because showing the billing name in the shipping name would be confusing.

In addition there are 3 other fields, first_name, middle_name and last name. These will give you either the billing values or the shipping values. Not in the version you have but the one I am going to email you. That should solve this issue.

Sadly we need the shipping_full_name to show the shipping if entered or the billing since this is the field we use for the transport company.

Can you make it optional withing the shipping_full_name to show the billing name if no shipping full name is entered?

We can pay you for this if needed since this is basic for us.

But Im thinking that if this is not possible maybe a combine rule could solve it. We need first and last name in the same column basicly.

No need, you can use the combine function in CSVI to combine the first_name, middle_name and last_name fields

I've send you an email with details. I tried reading the old documentation for combining fields but it seems very different and I have no clue how to combine them in this version.

The issue you pointed out at the beginning of this thread with the multiple custom fields not being exported as expected, turned out to be a big issue. That has been fixed now and I have taken the liberty to install the latest CSVI on your site. The combine rule has also been setup.

You can check your order export and let me know what you think.

Thanks for solving the issue with multiple fields. About the full name is great that we can export it finally with the needed data.

A last question remains. I see the first_name and last_name in 2 columns. I believe CSVI needs both fields in the template.
I tried to unpublish the "last name" but if I do that the combination doesn't work.

So the last question, is there a way we can avoid CSVI from exporting the "last_name" column.

We only need the first name with the combination. I attach image of what I mean, we dont need that column.
